Maria Emília was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Since early age she accompanied her father (who is a guitar player) in Fado Houses in her home town. In her teens she moved to the North of Portugal where she kept singing while attending school. She finished her studies in Theater and chose her University course to be Psychology.

 

Soon came the challenge to live from music or to continue studying. Music it was and Maria kept growing in the middle of the Fado world being regarded as one of the greatest of the new generation.

 

Her first solo album was released in October 2018 and is distributed in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Spain. 2018 was also the year of her first footsteps in international stages, Algeria, Spain, UK, France, Italy and Brazil had the pleasure to welcome her voice.

But the season 2019/2020 will confirm her talent with the first tours in Lithuania, Sweden, The Netherlands, Poland and Latvia and the very special concerts of Joahnesburg and New York.
