José Manuel Neto is currently the brightest fado guitarist.
Edowed with an evolved technique and with a sensibility and a unique creativity, it is in line with the outstanding who have written the history of the Portuguese guitar, as Armandinho, Jaime Santos and José Nunes.
He began playing the Portuguese guitar with only 15 years old and stands out among the interpreters, as one of the most requested instrumentalists in accompanying singers, in performances and recordings.
In 2004 the House of Press handed him the "Prize Francisco Carvalhinho", awarded to the best instrumentalist in 2008 and is distinguished by the Foundation Amalia Rodrigues with the "Prize for Best Instrumentalist".
2016 was the year of the release of his first álbum "Tons de Lisboa".
